BLACKFOOT. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Kentucky. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The 'A' part is 'crooked' with a measure of 3/2 time in a tune that is otherwise in 2/2 time. Titon says that his source, Clyde Davenport, is the only older musician he has heard play this tune in tradition.

Source for notated version: a field recording of Clyde Davenport, 1990 (Monticello, Wayne County, Ky.), who learned it from his father, Will Davenport [Titon].

Printed source: Titon (Old-Time Kentucky Fiddle Tunes), 2001; No. 12, p. 45.
