Composed by Ralph Page (1903-1985, New Hampshire), the "dean of the contra dance callers," and a seminal figure in New England traditional dance and music for 40 years [www.izaak.unh.edu/nhltmd/pagehome.htm]. It first appears in Page's monthly periodical Northern Junket.
