Irish collector George Petrie (1855) noted: “same melody as ‘Ride a Mile.’” “Time o’ Day” appears to be a derivative of the Scottish “Woo'd and Married and a'“. The second strain is shared with "My Mind Will Never be Easy", where it is the first strain of that tune.
