CALD KALE. Scottish. "Cald Kale" is probably a shortened form of the the tune best-known as "Cauld Kail in Aberdeen (1)." Directions for a country dance by the name were recovered from the Holmain Manuscript from Dumfries-shire (c. 1710-1750).
