LADY LAUDER DICK'S JIGG. Scottish, Jig. F Major. Standard tuning. AABB. Composed by Biography:Malcolm MacDonald, it first appears in his c. 1788 Collection of Strathspey Reels, vol. 1, dedicated to Mrs. Baird of Newbyth. Lady Lauder Dicke was born Elizathe,, daughter of Thomas Broun of Johnstonburn, East Lothian. In October 1783, she married Sir Andrew Lauder-Dick, 6th Baronet (1743-1820). They had two children: Thomas (1784) and Agnes (1785), but Elizabeth died young, a few years later in 1787 at Fountainhall, near Pencaitland, East Lothian.
