SHERIFF MULDOON'S. AKA and see “Bowlegged Tailor.” American, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. One of several compositions credited to “J. Hand” in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection. New York City researcher, writer and musician Don Meade finds the tune in O’Neill as “Bowlegged Tailor (The).” He believes there were two brothers, James and John Hand, who were fiddlers in the Boston, Massachusetts, area in the mid-19th century.
