COACHMAN'S WHIP. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by flute player Vincent Broderick, originally from Bullaun, near Loughrea, County Galway, hard by the Turoe Stone, a famous Iron Age monument. Different players will sometimes start on either part of the tune; one is never quite sure. "Coachman's Whip" is one of Broderick's more popular tunes.

Source for notated version: Eamon Coyne [Bulmer & Sharpley]. Broderick (The Turoe Stone).

Printed source: Bulmer & Sharpley (Music from Ireland), 1976, vol. 3, No. 18.

Recorded source: Green Linnet SIF 3051, Frankie Gavin - "Frankie Goes to Town." Desi Wilkinson, Gerry O'Connor & Eithne Ni Uallachain.
