WHEN I WAS A MAIDEN (Nuair bha mi fein 'nam mhaidun). AKA - "When I was a Maid." Scottish, Pipe Reel. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. A pipe tune first published in William Gunn's Caledonian Repository of Music in 1848. Gunn (1795-1867) was a maker of bagpipes who resided in Glasgow, where he also had a piping school. He was one of the first pipemakers to publish a collection.
