GOING UP TOWN. Old-Time, Breakdown. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA' (Devil's Box): AB (Kuntz): AAB (Phillips). John Hartford's note given along with his transcription of the tune reads: "Oscar Stone added this part to 'Ragtime Annie (1)' (which it sounds like in the 'A' part) so, according to Howdy (Forrester, Nashville fiddler), he could claim it."
