PETER'S JACKET. American, Schottische (4/4 time). USA, southwestern Pa. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The second strain sounds like it may originally have modulated to 'D' major.

Source for notated version: Frank Thomas (elderly fiddler and blacksmith from Somerset County, Pa., 1946; who learned it from another blacksmith in Somerset) [Bayard].
