MALLON'S REEL. "Mallon's Reel" was entered into Book 2 of the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1984). Grier researchers Fr. John Quinn and Conor Ward find it is cognate with the family of tunes that include "Clonmell Lasses," "Kiss the Maid Behind the Barrel'" and "Sally Kelly."
