MALLON'S REEL. "Mallon's Reel" was entered into Book 2 of the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1984). Grier researchers Fr. John Quinn and Conor Ward find it is cognate with the family of tunes that include "Clonmel Lassies," "Kiss the Maid Behind the Barrel" and "Sally Kelly (2)."
