PURE DROP [1], THE. AKA and see “Honeymoon Reel (2) (The),” "Rap Halfpenny Reel (The)," “Maid Who Left the County (1) (The).” Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Kennedy): AABB (Levey, Roche). The term 'pure drop' refers to the distillation of liquor, but is used euphemistically to describe core traditional Irish music and traditional performance. The tune was recorded in 78 RPM era as "The Honeymoon."
