LADS OF TIPPERARY. Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. As it resembles "Over the River to Charlie (1)" it may by a derivative or a special development, or it may have "borrowed" features of that tune, states Bayard (1981). The jig was entered into the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork uilleann piper and Church of Ireland cleric James Goodman. See also the related "Bucks of Tipperary (The)", also from a publication by O'Farrell
