DUNIRA LODGE. Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by "Miss M. Stirling" (Gow). Magdalene Stirling (1765–1846) was the youngest daughter of Sir William Stirling, 4th Baronet of Ardoch, and his wife Christian Erskine. A keyboard player, her compositions were frequently published long before she issued her own small collection in 1812. The were sometimes unattributed, and sometimes credited to "biography:Miss Stirling of Ardoch." She died unmarried.
