Hand” in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection. New York City researcher, writer and musician Don Meade finds the tune in O’Neill as “Bow-Legged Tailor (The).” He believes there were two brothers, James and John Hand, who were fiddlers in the Boston, Massachusetts, area in the mid-19th century.
