LITTLE BAG OF POTATOES [1], THE (An Mála Beag Fataí). AKA and see "Bag of Potatoes (1) (The)," "Bag of Spuds (The)," "Little Bag of Spuds (The)," "Ríl Thomáisín Uí Dheaghdha," "What the Devil Ails You?" Irish, Reel. G Major (Breathnach): D Major (Tubridy). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Tubridy): AABB (Breathnach). Breathnach's source, flute player Michael Tubridy, called the tune "The Bag of Potatoes," but since Breathnach had a reel by that title he changed it a bit. Each part consists of one phrase, repeated, which Tubridy told him was very widespread in County Clare.
