MOUNT PHOEBUS' HUNT. AKA and see "Galtee Hunt (1)," "Hunt (1) (The)." AKA - "The Phoebus Hunt," "Mountfamous Hunt." Irish, Set Dance (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune is particularly associated with County Clare musicians and is often known as "The Hunt" (in West Clare) or the "Galtee Hunt." The set dance which this tune accompanies is said to be intricate and difficult. The Castle Céilí Band recorded the tune their eponymous 1973 album, re-recorded on their 2001 "Reunion Concert."
