MISS E. MACLEOD. AKA - "Mrs. E. MacLeod." Scottish, Canadian; Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Biography:Robert Mackintosh (c. 1745-1806) and first printed in his 4th collection of tunes (London, 1804). Paul Stewart Cranford (1995) notes that Winston ‘Scotty’ Fitzgerald popularized the tune among Cape Breton fiddlers, where it remains a popular reel, frequently recorded.
