SUNFLOWER HORNPIPE. American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The identifier 'hornpipe' in the title is nominal; the tune is played like a reel (i.e. un-dotted rhythm). Drew Beisswenger (2008) points to similarities with “Cricket on the Hearth” and “Marmaduke's Hornpipe.”
