CUDGEL, THE. Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Mulhollan identifies the tune's provenance as 'Irish'. A member of the very large and varied 9/8 time tune family that includes "Cummilum," "Dusty Miller (The)," "Honeymoon (The)," "Mad Moll," "Drops of Brandy (1)," "Yellow Stockings" etc. See notes for "annotation:Mad Moll" and annotation:Cummilum."
