JACK'S HALF CROWN (Ballater). Scottish, Pipe Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by fiddler-composer and dancing master biography:J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927), who noted that the title had to do with "an amusing story about a cello" (??!!).
