MISS CATHRINE ABERCROMBY'S DELIGHT. Scottish, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Edinburgh musician, teacher and music publisher biography:William Shepherd (d. 1812). The title refers perhaps to Cathrine Abercromby (1780-1841), the youngest daughter of general Sir Ralph Abercromby, who in Dec., 1811, married Thomas Buchanan, Esq., of the East India Company.
