BLOOMING HEDGES. English, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Blooming Hedges" can be found in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter (1774-1861), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England. The first strain is similar to that of "Kitty Fisher", although set in triple time rather than duple time.
