DRUNKEN SCOTCHMAN, THE. AKA - "Drunken Scotsman." English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning. AA'BB'. The melody is unique to London publishers Charles and Samuel Thompson's 1757 country dance collection, until it was entered into the 1840 music manuscript copybook of Cumbrian musician John Rook (Waverton).
