DONOP, THE. AKA - "Lady Mary Murray's Fantaisie." English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The Donop was a regiment of German Jäger troops, particularly skilled at skirmishing and sharpshooting. They were equipped with rifles instead of muskets, slower to load but far more accurate, and had straw-colored uniforms.
