KITTY COME OVER (Tar A Leir/Leit A Caitilin). AKA and see "Cow that Ate the Blanket (1) (The)," "Noonday Feast (The)," "Rakes of Clonmel." Irish, Double Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is sometime set in the key of 'D' (see "Rakes of Clonmel"). See also the related "Castle Donovan (1)." John Carty recorded the tune as "The Cat that Ate the Candle" on his 1994 album of the same name, although that appears to be an idiosyncratic title for the this jig (there are unrelated tunes by that title).
