Scottish, Slow Air (4/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDDEEFF. "An Old Highland Song" (as noted in Gow's collection) set by biography:Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831), though published under his father Niel's name. Johnson (1984) says the title translates literally as "Silly Naughty Robbie."
