FASTEN THE LEG IN HER [2]. AKA and see "Paddy Taylor's Jig (4)." Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. A variant of "Fasten the Leggin' (1)" from the playing of influential London flute player Paddy Taylor (1914-1976). The resemblance is particular in the first strain. Talyor was born at Loughill, County Limerick, to a musical family -- his maternal grandfather, who played the flute, was a particular influence. He moved to London with his family in the early 1930's, and worked as a film and TV lighting engineer, while playing music on the side.
