Clydeside Lassies
CLYDESIDE LASSIES. AKA - "Clyde Side Lassies." Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune belongs to a family of melodies that includes "Maguinnis' Delight" and the "Pretty Peggy" tunes (see note for that tune). The name Clyde comes from the Brittonic Cluth. The River Clyde marked the frontier between the old Celtic British kingdom in the north and the Picts.
