MOLLY ON THE SHORE [2]. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddle player and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). Reavy rewrote the first two parts of the tune and added an original third part. However, like the Rowsome settings (see "Molly on the Shore (1)" and Connolly/Martin version, Reavy's is a reworking of the Stanford/Petrie tunes "Temple Hill" and "Molly on the Shore," albeit more of the former than the latter (as Paul De Grae points out).
