MUSKRAT RAG. American, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A member of the "Uncle Joe"/"Miss McLeod's Reel" family of tunes. It was recorded under this title by fiddler Reese Jarvis (1900-1967, Clendenin, West Virginia) and guitarist Dick Justice [1] (1906-1962) for Brunswick Records in Chicago, 1929. The only other recording from the duo is "Poca River Blues" (AKA "East Tennessee Blues"), although each was involved in recording ventures with others.
