PIGEON ON THE GATE [7]. AKA and see “Morning Fair,” “Texarkana Hornpipe,” “Tomorrow Morning,” “Yarmouth Hornpipe.” English, Hornpipe. C Major (most versions): D Major (Callaghan). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is a variant of “Rickett's" or “Manchester Hornpipe (1).” It appears under the “Yarmouth Hornpipe” title in the 1850-1880 music manuscripts of George H. Watson (Swanton Abbott, Norfolk).

Source for notated version: the late melodeon player Barry Callaghan, who based his version on the playing of Percy Brown in the 1970’s [Callaghan].
