LITTLE FANNY'S LOVE [1]. English, Dance Tune (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The Scotch Ghost, or, Little Fanny's Love was a pantomime and ballet by Giuseppe Capelletti and Giacomo Gentili performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. It was published by London music printers Longman and Broderip around the year 1796. Harlequin and Oberon, or, Little Fanny's Love was another work also dating from 1796.

Source for notated version: the 1800-1802 music manuscript copybook of ship's fiddler William Litten. Litten was a member of the British East India fleet, although little is known about him. His music manuscript was brought to Martha's Vineyard island by Allen Coffin (b. 1788) when he himself returned from voyages, although how and when he acquired the ms. is unknown. [Huntington].
