WIND ON THE HEATH. Scottish, Pastoral Air (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Alec Sim of Birnam, Perthshire, who for many years was the conductor of the Aberdeen Strathspey and Reel Society. The tune is based on David Young's melody "Hey to Cowpar/Couper," published in his 1734 Duke of Perth's MS.
