BÓITHRÍN BUÍ. Irish, Air (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Although properly an air, the melody can (and has) been employed as a waltz. Irish collector George Petrie obtained this air from a County Clare peasant named Tadhg Mac Mahon, and considered it to be a good example of a type of tune abundant in that County.
