AULD GA'D AIVER (THE) (The Old Brokendown Horse). Scottish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJ.

Source for notated version: Riddell notes that his source, Peter MacNaughtan, learned it from John Cowan, a noted fiddler from Newton Stewart in Galloway. "Old Peter MacNaughtan", a fiddler at Monniehive, told Riddell that he was taught by John Cowan about the year 1725, "and he was then an old man."
