AULD MAID OF FIFE, THE. Scottish, Air (6/8 time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Samuel Bayard (Dance to the Fiddle, 1981) considers this James Oswald tune a variant of "Muirland Willie." It appears to be unique to Oswald's Caledonian Pocket Companion, Book 7 (1760).
