BANKS OF NEWFOUNDLAND [2], THE (An Fhuiseog ar an Trá). AKA and see "Bruacha Thalamh an Éisc." Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Breathnach): AABB (Harker/Rafferty, Taylor.) There is another version of this tune in Breathnach's Irish Folk Dance Music (No. 129).

Sources for notated versions: a 1928 recording by P.J. Conlon (d. 1954), originally from County Galway, on the one-row melodeon, via the group Shaskeen (Ireland) [Taylor]; accordion player John Brophy/Sean O Broithe (Ireland) [Breathnach]; New Jersey flute player Mike Rafferty, born in Ballinakill, Co. Galway, in 1926 [Harker].
