Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Collector P.W. Joyce (1827-1914) obtained the tune from the music collection of his contemporary Irish collector John Edward Pigot (1822–1871). See also the cognate "Carle's Cows (The)" from the 1848 bagpipe collection of Glasgow piper, pipe teacher and pipe-maker William Gunn.
