BERKS OF PLUNKETTY, THE. Scottish, Strathspey. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. An interesting mistake in notation by Henry Playford (1700), who set the tune in 3/4 time. It is, however, a strathspey, and should be noted in dupple time. 'Berks' (or birks) are 'hills'.
