BEYOND BALLYBAY. Irish, Double Jig. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddler Ed Reavy (1898–1988). Ed's son Joseph says the town was remembered by his father as an attractive community, "full of grand music on a market day," and fascinating to a boy who longed for 'exotic' places and the 'beyond'.
