BLOW THE CANDLE OUT. Irish, Air (2/4 time). E Flat Major (Haverty, Stanford/Petrie): G Major (O'Neill). Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. A widespread and very common folksong throughout Britain and Ireland [Roud 368; Laws P17], in both acceptable and bawdy versions.
