CASTLE GARDEN (JIG). American, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. One of several tunes attributed to Harry Carleton in Ryan's Mammoth Collection. Unfortunately, little is known about him although Ryan's Mammoth publisher Elias Howe is known to have included tunes from journeyman composers of popular or light music in the Northeast. See note for "Castle Garden Hornpipe" for more on Castle Garden.
