COCO BRAM. AKA and see "Bang It Up," "Opera Hat (The)." English, Rant. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Thomas Wilson (Companion to the Ballroom, 1815, p. 119) and other early 19th century publications printed the tune under the title "Russian Dance (2) (A)" often with the alternate title "Opera Hat." Versions can also be found in 19th century musicians' manuscript collections as "Bang It Up" (James Goodman, County Cork) and "Opera Hat (The)."
