CORONATION, THE. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title perhaps refers to the coronation of Hanoverian king George III, who ruled from 1760-1820. Some melodic material from the first strain is shared with "Duke of York (2) (The)."
