DECEITFUL STRANGER, THE. Irish, Air (6/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The air appears in the c. 1841 music manuscript collection of Henry Hudson, a Dublin dentist and an early collector. He was music editor of The Citizen or Dublin Monthly Magazine from 1841-1843. Chief O'Neill's version is identical to Hudson's.
