DID YOU SEE THE BLACK ROGUE? Irish, Air (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. Bayard sees this air from Belfast collector Edward Bunting's (1773-1843) 1840 collection (The Ancient Music of Ireland, 1840, pp. 4-5) as a simplified version of the Northumbrian melody "Rock and a Wee Pickle Tow."
