DONIZETTI, LA. Italian?, Galop (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. From the volume New and Scientific Self-Instructing School for the Violin (Providence, R.I., 1847), by George Saunders, "Professor of Music and Dancing." Along with several other tunes from the Saunders tutor, "La Donizette" was entered into the music copybook of American musician M.E. Eames, frontispiece dated Aug. 22nd, 1859 (p. 147).
