DUCKERS OF DOWN. Scottish, Reel (cut time). G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of the tune in print in Joshua Campbell's 1778 collection (p. 72). The tune was entered as "Duckets sits down" in the large 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist John Rook (Waverton, Cumbria).
